Don't assume you know where your legislators or candidates for state legislature stand on Convention of States.

Take every opportunity to ask them:

Attend candidate meet & greets, candidate forums, call them, and simply ask - will you stand against federal tyranny, as those who signed our Declaration of Independence did, and support Convention of States if elected?

We just celebrated the 246th year of our independence from one tyrannical government. On July 4, 1776, 56 men pledged their “lives, fortunes, and sacred honor” to preserve the important freedoms enshrined in the Declaration of Independence. They knew they could be stripped of their fortunes and put to death for daring to produce and sign such a document.

Today we have many of the same grievances.

Who will put their lives, fortunes and sacred honor on the line today? 

The Constitution provides a remedy the signers of the Declaration didn't have: Article V.  It provides the peaceful, constitutional solution to a similar problem.

You have taken the first step - by acknowledging D.C. is a major threat to our liberty and independence and by signing the Convention of States petition. 

Now, we have to ask our legislators and candidates for state legislature to pledge not their lives and not their fortunes, but their sacred honor. Their lives and fortunes aren't on the line, but their sacred honor is. Their duty, as State Legislators, is to reign in the excess power in D.C., our modern day tyrannical government.
