Think ahead 25 years.
What do you imagine our children and grandchildren will inherit from Congress's irresponsibility to address the 22 trillion dollar debt?
How will our children deal with the continual loss of liberty as an overbearing government controls every aspect of their lives?
Today an average of 60% of states budgets originate from federal dictates. State legislators are becoming merely a department of the federal government’s will.
Will our progeny see nearly total control of the states by the feds in their life time?
How much more of their voices will be usurped by career politicians and lobbyists who have the power to silence their voices?
Now imagine citizens acting upon Article V of the Constitution.
Understanding the nature of governments, constitutional framer George Mason proffered in 1787 that Congress would never correct abuses and overreach by themselves.
At the Constitutional Convention, Mason proposed a second method to amend the Constitution, this being by the people through their state legislature. Unanimously, the delegates agreed.
Volunteers like me at the Convention of States Project are making this happen.
One by one our voices are growing to the largest grassroots army ever seen.
We are at a crossroads. The path we choose will affect our children and grandchildren long after we are gone.
They will either suffer the loss of liberty, economic freedom, and promise of prosperity, or they will again experience
the greatness and wisdom from our Framers that produced the most prosperous and free country the world has known.
What will be your choice for them? It comes down to act or accept.
