Texans all around the state had the opportunity to learn about our amazing founding document, as Convention of States volunteers offered presentations to their fellow citizens to celebrate Constitution Week.

About a dozen different events occurred from as far north as Howe to the Gulf town of League City and from Tyler and Sulphur Springs to out west in Odessa.

Many of the presentations were held in public libraries, but a few volunteers took other approaches. Greg Holton's event in Sulphur Springs took place in City Hall and was attended by a homeschool group of students and parents.

Sharon Correll of Dallas offered a lunch-time meeting to her colleagues at the International Linguistics Center. She also made the event available though Google Meet, which added a few participants and enabled a remote co-worker to record the broadcast from Colorado.

Shelby Williams' Facebook Live broadcast went viral!

Several other presenters used Facebook Live to increase the reach of their events. Shelby Williams's broadcast from Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church was shared over 100 times, chalking up 1800 engagements and touching 34,000 Facebook users!

John van Compernolle also created a Facebook Live broadcast for one of his four presentations in Rockwall, Tyler, and Emory.

We know that an Article V convention provides a powerful mechanism to correct the structure of our system of government. But just as essential as the words of the law is a body of citizens across the nation who have an appreciation for the brilliance of our Founding Fathers and an understanding of the principles underlying our freedoms.

For this reason, all lovers of our Constitution are needed to share the message of liberty with their fellow Americans. Will you help? Volunteer today!
