Convention of States Project
Information Meeting Suggested Agenda
1. Make the meeting a 90 - 120-minute meeting. For example, 7pm-9pm
2. Communicate to everyone the first 30 minutes will always be an “Introduction to the Convention of States
Project”. They can bring their friends and neighbors to the first 30 minutes for the intro, or they can skip it
and arrive at 7:30pm. The intro content will be the same each meeting. Everyone should know that the
first 30 minutes is for newbies.

b. Please stick with this presentation as it is duplicatable. Anyone that hears it can duplicate
watching you do it. Don’t be afraid to “read” the script and let your audience know you are doing
this on purpose so that others can see that is easy and “anyone can do this” and duplicate your
efforts of spreading the message about Article V.
3. From 7:30 to 9pm you cover the following topics:
a.
5 min
Prayer, American Pledge, Texas Pledge, (invite scouts for color guard)
b.
5 min Welcome, Announcements (next meeting date)
c.
15 min Educational talk on the Constitution or the State Legislature or have a guest speaker
d.
15 min National Update and Action Items (see weekly Roundup emails)
e.
15 min District/Region/Status/Plan of Action (attend/listen to recording of weekly state call)
f.
15 min Q&A
g.
15 min Summarize action plan and have folks “sign up” (physical paper) for committing to
help/and or take some sort of action. This will also allow you to get their contact information updated.
Ask for leaders to step up and take charge of a project.
