The time is now, South Dakota! The COS application is already being heard by the House State Affairs Committee.
They’ll probably vote on Monday, so you have two days to write those emails and make those calls. We’ve provided a contact list below for everyone on the committee.
Simply give each of them a call and voice your support for House Joint Resolution 1005 to call a Convention of States. You can help whether or not you live in South Dakota—just pick up the phone and make a call!

Hello,
My name is [Your Name], and I support House Joint Resolution 1005 to apply for a Convention of States.
A Convention of States is the last, best chance to curb the abuses of the federal government and force Congress to be fiscally responsible. The Founder’s included the Convention of States option in Article V for precisely the situation in which we find ourselves today. It’s our responsibility to use the tool the Founders gave us to limit the federal government’s power and jurisdiction.
I want South Dakota to take the lead on this issue. We have an obligation to preserve liberty for future generations, and this is the best way to do it.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]
With your help we can get the ball rolling in South Dakota and be on step closer to preserving liberty all across the country.
