Prayer Warriors
Battle Plan
October 2019
October Events and Requests
• Pray for members of the national team as they prepare for a staff retreat in November.
• Continue to ask God to bless the development of training and leadership courses in COS
University.
• Pray for the software team to be able to work through a large back-log of development needs
and requests and properly prioritize them.
Leadership Prayer Focus
Bill Ely is the Texas Coalitions Director and also serves as an
assistant to the national Coalitions Director. He has a great deal of
past experience as Grassroots Coordinator in Texas.
Pray for Bill as he leads monthly national coalition calls and works
with leadership and volunteers to develop a strategy for
coalition building. Bill asks prayer specifically for a grassroots-
building event in Austin, TX (see Oct. 5 prayer point) that if suc-
cessful will enable him to focus more fully on coalition building.
Scripture of the Month
God opposes the proud, but shows favor to the humble. Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist
the devil and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your
hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn, and wail. Change your
laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
— James 4:6-10
Lord God, our nation is in the midst of a cold civil war, and we are grieved over the rancor and ha-
tred we see. You are showing us what it means to turn away from the vision of “one nation under
God” and the result is ugly and heartbreaking. Give us grace to truly humble ourselves, starting
with those of us who are your children. Reveal to us in what ways we need to purify ourselves
and resist the devil. Expose our idolatry and double-mindedness and let us be people who seek
after you with all our hearts. Lift our nation up as a testimony to your power and goodness.

Daily Prayer Guide for October 2019
1
South Carolina: pray for healing for Dawn,
the granddaughter of an SC volunteer,
David. Dawn is in critical condition.
2
Kansas: the team is thankful for a very
successful state fair effort that garnered an
amazing number of petition signatures.
3
Wisconsin: pray for successful committee
hearings and miraculous favor with specific
senators. Also pray for strong testimonies to
support the resolution—and final passage!
4
Pray for the development of a Faith Coalition
video presentation that will clearly present
the COS mission from a faith perspective.
5
Texas: efforts are underway to build a Capi-
tol Brigade, a team specifically available to
show up in Austin on short notice. Pray for
a meet-and-greet event happening today.
6
Nevada: pray blessings over special events: a
table at a GOP Club lunch, VFW meetings,
and other community meetings. Give thanks
for several successful events in September!
7
Kansas: pray blessings on many upcoming
meetings and presentations.
8
South Dakota: pray for the Parade Commit-
tee meeting today to have great ideas
relating to parades, and for success in
meet-and-greets happening on Oct. 14.
9
Illinois: ask God to raise up a Grassroots
Coordinator and for grace and effectiveness
for Matthew Bianco, the new SD.
10 Florida: lift up a major event over the next
three days, the American Priority Festival in
Miami. Ask for new District Captains to
come forth and for growth of the FL team.
11 Massachusetts: a closed-door hearing on the
COS resolution will be happening in the next
few weeks. SD Michael Arnold exhorts us to
pray boldly for miraculous favor!
12 New York: ask the Lord for an effective COS
presence at the Okoberfest event today in
Staten Island, and for favor in recruiting
enthusiastic volunteers.
13 New Mexico: Keith Dotson is grateful for
God’s healing touch on his wife who we
prayer warriors have been praying for. Pray
for healing for SD Myles Culbertson’s bad
cold and congestion issues.
14 Continue to ask God to bless Dr. Tom
Coburn, our Senior Advisor, with healing
and strength in his battle against cancer.
15 Lift up our President as the nation is so
divided over his leadership. Pray that he
will walk in wisdom, grace, integrity, and
dependence on God.
Prayer Goals for 2019
• Praise for achieving the goals for active District Captains by the end of the summer! Keep
praying for an increase in the following roles:
•
1000 active leaders across COS (925 as of early September)
•
575 active DCs across COS (491 as of mid-July)
•
100 active GCs across COS (75 as of mid-July)
• Two more states to pass the resolution before the end of 2019, which will bring us to a total
of 17, half-way to our goal of 34 states.
•
A distinct increase in the number of COS presentations given by volunteers across the country.
• A breakthrough in Eagle Forum's opposition to COS (this may need a longer-term prayer
focus beyond 2019).
16 South Dakota: pray for success in the
Educational Forums today.
17 Virginia: Give thanks for a sponsor in the
House for the COS resolution! Pray for
volunteers to fill key roles: an IT person (SIA)
and a videographer.
18 Wisconsin: ask God to grant healing for
various team members and their families’
special needs.
19 Let’s call on the Lord for a new Great
Awakening in the 21st century.
20 Idaho: lift up Dan Dunne and Paul West as
they deal with difficult family health issues.
21 Let’s ask that even now God will be prepar-
ing those who will serve as commissioners
for their role in the convention. In particular,
ask for a parliamentarian who will protect
the integrity of the process.
22 Virginia: join SD Dennis Denton in praying
that the American people will recognize the
voice of Satan behind the lies.
23 Georgia: pray for growth and continuity
of monthly face-to-face meetings with
volunteers.
24 Connecticut: pray for a successful event
today in Stamford, CT with Mark Meckler.
25 Massachusetts: lift up an event with Mark
Meckler in Haverhill, MA today.
26 Ask God to bring a breakthrough in the
stranglehold that anti-freedom forces have
on our educational system.
27 New Mexico: pray for wisdom in how to
follow up on letter-writing campaigns and
how to improve the weekly meeting agendas.
28 Speak a blessing over our armed forces and
ask that they will conduct themselves with
wisdom, courage, and integrity.
29 Wisconsin: ask God to raise up an Event
Planner, an Administrative Coalitions
leader, nine Regional Captains and many
active DCs.
30 South Dakota: pray that volunteers will be
encouraged to step beyond past disappoint-
ments and engage with passion in the fight!
31

the following states: DE, ME, NE, NV, OR,
RI, VT, WV.
