Prayer Warriors
Battle Plan
February 2020
February Events and Requests
• Several dozen COS volunteers are spending time in fasting and prayer this month as part of
our Fasting in February effort. Ask God to keep them healthy and strong and empower them
for their work of intercession. If you haven’t signed up, you can still do so here:

• The national team is excited about the growth that we are seeing in terms of numbers and
opportunities, but asks for growth in wisdom, discernment, maturity, and a culture of
godliness as well.
• The COS resolution is moving forward in many states! Pray for key legislators around the
country to see the value of this approach, and for citizens to make their voices heard.
Leadership Prayer Focus
Bud Cornwell is currently serving as Technology Services Manager for
the national team. Previously he was State Director in Arkansas.
One of the concerns on Bud’s mind is the opposition that will be coming
against the COS movement, increasingly in the future. Let’s join him in
praying for skill in defending against experienced and well-funded opponents
and discernment in recognizing possible infiltrators into our leadership.
Scripture of the Month
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In Christ, God has given us every spiritual blessing in heaven.
— Ephesians 1:3
Father God, we are so blessed to be your children. Thank you for this reminder that all the re-
sources of heaven itself are available to us—not because we are virtuous ourselves, but because
they were purchased by Jesus for us. Remind us of this when we get discouraged or are tempted
to believe that we must work your will in our own strength. Grant to us wisdom, hope, confidence,
and knowledge of your purposes as we shoulder the tasks before us.

Prayer Goals for 2020
• Here are the national team’s goals for grassroots leadership engagement:
•
575 active District Captains across COS (currently 514)
•
160 active Regional Captains (currently 146)
•
95 active Grassroots Coordinators (currently 91)
•
One or two “headliners” to come alongside Mark Meckler and share the load of speaking at
events and testifying in state legislatures
• A breakthrough in Eagle Forum's opposition to COS
18 Georgia: ask for guidance for the team in
targeting the best House districts for
recruiting.
19 Kansas: pray blessings on Rep. Eric Smith
as he carries the COS resolution, and for the
KS legislators as they work through other
legislation before considering COS.
20 West Virginia: ask God to bless the citizens
of WV with strength and perseverance in the
face of many years of failed federal policies,
and that many will see COS as a solution.
The team is thankful for Mark, Grant, and
Cameron’s efforts in their state.
21 The problem of social media censorship has
the potential to affect the COS message.
Pray for a solution to the problem that
reflects the principles of free speech, pro-
motes integrity and respects the free market
system.
22 Rhode Island and Vermont: pray for at least
three volunteers to step up and take a role
in each of these states.
23 Tennessee: lift up efforts to engage on
non-COS legislation—the National Popular
Vote and refugee resettlement.
24 New Hampshire: pray that volunteers will
continue to build enthusiasm for the mis-
sion and communicate with their legislators.
25 Arkansas: give thanks for a new video-
grapher! Ask the Lord for a Grassroots
Coordinator, three new Regional Captains,
and many District Captains.
26 Missouri: pray for a well-attended surge
event at the capital today—specifically for
good weather and safe travels.
27 Dr. Tom Coburn serves as one of our senior
advisors and has battled cancer for many
years. Pray for God’s touch on him.
28 Virginia: give thanks for new members of
the prayer team! Ask for the VA team to
continue strong and be encouraged.
29
Maine: pray that those who observe the COS
movement at a distance would engage.
NO ONE IS ESTABLISHED BY WICKEDNESS,
BUT THE ROOT OF THE RIGHTEOUS
WILL NEVER BE MOVED.
— PROVERBS 12:3
