Prayer Warriors
Battle Plan
December 2019
December Events and Requests
• Hand-written letters are the silver-bullet solution to connecting with legislators! Pray for
many states to find ways to incorporate this tactic into their state strategies.
• The national team is excited about the growth that we are seeing in terms of numbers and
opportunities, but asks for growth in wisdom, discernment, maturity, and a culture of
godliness as well.
• Pray for good preparation for the upcoming legislative sessions that start at the beginning of
the year.
Leadership Prayer Focus
This month we are focusing on none other than our co-founder and
president, Mark Meckler.
Mark has had a very intense travel schedule over recent months,
during a time of the year that is not usually so busy. Beginning in
January, legislative sessions start up in many more states. Pray for
God to preserve Mark’s health, for times of rest, and that he will find
ways to maintain his personal connection to the Lord. Pray partic-
ularly that the Christmas season will be refreshing and meaningful.
Scripture of the Month
The people walking in darkness have seen a great light;
on those dwelling in the shadow of death, a light has dawned.
— Isaiah 9:2
Lord, we know that your Kingdom is a kingdom of light. Those who hate evil shun the light, but
those who do good come to the light so that their good deeds will be clearly seen. We ask that the
Convention of States movement would be one that reflects light and truth. May we always be a
community that welcomes light into our midst, and one that attracts people who love the light.
Empower us to shine light into the dark corners of our social and political systems so that
deception of our enemy will be revealed.

Daily Prayer Guide for December 2019
1
Wisconsin: we need informal confirmation of
50 votes in the assembly and 17 in the
Senate within the next 4-6 weeks. Please
pray for the team to make themselves avail-
able for questions and concerns without
pushing the uncommitted legislators so hard
they alienate them!
2
Hawaii: lift up a visit by Robert Kelly, COS
General Counsel, over the next three days.
The team will be holding community and
legislator meetings.
3
Pennsylvania: pray for a successful vote to
bring the COS resolution out of committee
in the House this month.
4
Pray for American church leaders to under-
stand the threats to liberty and be motivated
in the fight.
5
Wisconsin: lift up the Christmas cookie drive
this month and that a meeting in a key
Senate district will bear fruit.
6
New Mexico: ask God for good attendance by
both supporters and legislators at the article
V Educational Forum in Rio Rancho today.
Pray that the NM team will be able to dupli-
cate in other parts of the state.
7
South Dakota: lift up the Round Table meet-
ing tomorrow, and ask that it will be the first
of many.
8
California: lift up the CA team as they
spending focused time in prayer and fasting
today.
9
Arkansas: pray for a Grassroots Coordina-
tor, State Videographer, and three new
Regional Captains.
10 Ask God to expose corruption and bring
about justice in Washington, D.C, according
to Job 12:22.
11 Join Regional Director Susan Peters in giv-
ing thanks for the faithfulness of volunteers
who work, largely alone, in states with small
leadership teams. Pray for growth in these
state teams.
12 South Carolina: join the team in asking for
the God to change the heart of Evan Mulch
of the John Birch Society, a strong opponent
of COS.
13 Georgia: give thanks for the volunteers and
petition signers in GA!
14 Pray for Christians to move from a defensive,
fearful posture to one of faith and courage.
15 Lift up fellow COS prayer warriors and ask
that God will empower them in this work.
16 Claim Matthew 6:13—protection from the
schemes of our spiritual enemy.
Prayer Goals for 2019
• Praise for achieving the goals for active District Captains by the end of the summer! Keep
praying for an increase in the following roles:
•
675 active District Captains across COS (530 as of Oct. 29)
•
150 active Regional Captains (134 as of Oct. 29)
•
90 active Grassroots Coordinators across COS (79 as of Oct. 29)
• Two more states to pass the resolution before the end of 2019, which will bring us to a total
of 17, half-way to our goal of 34 states.
•
A distinct increase in the number of COS presentations given by volunteers across the country.
• A breakthrough in Eagle Forum's opposition to COS (this may need a longer-term prayer
focus beyond 2019).
17 Arkansas: State Director Jacque Martin
asks prayer for new ideas to present the
COS solution, and that momentum won’t
suffer during the Christmas season.
18 James 4:2 says we do not have because we
do not ask God. So let’s ask him for 30
million petition signers!
19 Florida: the national intern team will be
hosting an information table at the Turn-
ing Point Student Action Summit in West
Palm Beach over the next three days. Pray
for strength and skill in building the Young
Americans for COS coalition.
20 Pray for our 15 passed states to know how
to continue to build their teams.
21 Call on God to raise up journalists to report
accurately on the COS movement, and pray
for a return to journalistic integrity.
22 Minnesota: continue to pray for the team
and SD Jackie Burns as they develop a
District Captain mentoring program.
23 South Dakota: lift up plans for an upcoming
rally on January 27, and for a successful
letter writing surge.
24 Ask God to clearly reveal to Americans the
bankrupt nature of economic and social
Marxism.
25 Merry Christmas! Thanks be to God for his
indescribable gift!
26 South Carolina: ask God to give favor with
two key Senators and two key Representa-
tives who are standing in the way of a floor
vote.
27 David Horowitz is a strong COS advocate
with a unique perspective on the dangers of
the far-left agenda. He values the Christian
faith and its political benefits, but calls him-
self an agnostic personally. Ask God to draw
him to faith.
28 Georgia: pray for the team to develop a solid,
repeatable recruiting process for district
captains.
29 In our fight for liberty, let’s remember the
thousands of Christians around the world
who are persecuted for their faith.
30
New Mexico: lift up efforts to educate legis-
lators on the meaning of Article V, and for
replacements for 9 DCs who are suffering
from health issues or have moved out of the
state.
31
Give thanks for the addition to the Supreme
Court of new justices who are committed to
interpreting our founding documents with
integrity. Pray for them to judge wisely as
described in Isaiah 11:2-3.
The people walking in darkness
have seen a great light.
—Isaiah 9:2
