Prayer Team Guide - September 2023
The Power of Prayer
This month we celebrate the signing of our Constitution. What better time to reflect on
the prayer within “God Bless America.” This is a prayer as well as an honest
acknowledgment, as stated in the Founders Bible. It is a statement of our founding.
Pray the words of this song, and acknowledge that the covenant that was made with
God at America’s founding was to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ into all the world, to
remain to all generations. This “Covenant of Dedication” remains today as “One Nation
Under God, indivisible,” whose motto is “In God we trust.”
Let your faith speak these words in prayer to embrace our documents of freedom not
just in principle but by living them out. We are entrusted with this covenant of freedom.

stepdaughter of our State Director
Richard Glaw. Shawn has a genetic
condition that has led to liver damage
and she now needs a liver transplant.
2 - WA: Pray that God will extinguish the
fires in our state. Pray that God will
change the hearts and minds of
legislators to protect our children, honor
developmental appropriateness, and
honor the people’s God given rights &
parental rights.
3 - KY: Prayers for healing for
Regional Captains Brett Greene and
Thomas Francis. Brett has had a very
painful thrombosis in his leg which
makes his foot feel like it's on fire.
Thomas Francis is suffering kidney
impairment, diabetes, and heart
disease. Both of these Patriots are
mainstays of our team.
4 - MD: Please pray for Michael Rilee’s
good health and strength; for Bob
Bagheri and family as they mourn the
loss of his mother in law; for James
McQueen and his improved health; for
Paul Macri in his quest for less pain and
improved health from back issues; for
Maria Bedard in her quest as State
Director.
5 - SC: Pray God heals former
Legislative Liaison Dr. Sam McDonald III
and his wife Nadine. Sam has had
complications with kidney function
following surgery and Nadine has had
issues post shoulder surgeries and
suffers from Lupus. Both were
instrumental to passage in SC.
6 - MA: Pray for an indwelling presence
of the Holy Spirit to be unleashed inside
the State House in Boston during the
Massachusetts Surge Day event
tomorrow (9/7) and for all present inside -
as well as adjoining grounds and
buildings - to feel the everlasting loving
presence of Jesus Christ, our LORD and
Savior.
7 - ID: Pray for our new Facebook editor
Bobbie Hoene’s sick 11-month old
granddaughter - doctors have not been
able to diagnose her specific issue to
treat it.
KS: Pray for safety for our volunteers,
clear communication of COS plan, new
petitions and volunteers at our State Fair
9/8-17.

a Statewide Communications
Coordinator and more District Captains
across the state.

wife, Pam, who will be undergoing
surgery soon and for Idaho's former
resolution sponsor, Randy Armstrong,
who is very sick with a genetic liver
disease that his father died of at age 48.
Pray for a liver transplant quickly.
10 - CO: Please pray for qquick and
complete healing for our State
Grassroots Coordinator Karla Pendleton
from her hand surgery; also asking for
prayers that we will have 1,000 new
petition signers from the State Fair and
that the new volunteers working the fair
will be inspired to become more engaged
in CO.
11 - KS: Pray for election integrity interim
committee hearings in Topeka. COS
sponsor Sen. Mike Thompson is chairing
this important committee to consider
legislation for 2024.
Pray against the evil infiltrators in
election activities across the nation
especially Arizona, Georgia, Illinois,
North Carolina, Pennsylvania and VA.
Pray for divine intervention and the truth.

volunteers to not lose faith in our mission
and to see God’s will in our work.
13 - VA: Pray for our leaders and

promote Article V and have VA added to
those states who passed the resolution
in this 2023 election cycle.
14 - NJ: Please continue to pray for
District Captain Gregory Ashley who
suffers from Parkinson’s disease. His
health is rapidly declining since
becoming a COS volunteer a year ago,
yet he persevered to make phone calls,
send emails and even visited all three
legislators.
15 - NC: Pray that all God's children in
NC who travel to the Statewide Volunteer
Meeting tomorrow will be safe,
encouraged and unified as we strategize
the mission forward.

many moving parts.

participation from new and old members
of our team.

teams are on the road and doing a host
of end of summer and fall events.
20 - ID: Regional Captain Marty Frantz’s
wife, Cindy, is struggling with intense
back pain triggered by her post knee
surgery. Please pray for them.
21 - VA: Prayers for the success of our
campaign activities: 17 races in both
House and Senate, if successful, will flip
control of the Senate and strengthen our
slim margin of COS support in the
House. Voting begins tomorrow (9/22).
22 - Pray for all Americans to recognize
the tenets of American Exceptionalism.
1. There is a Creator; 2. Inalienable
Rights Come From God; 3. Government
is to Protect Inalienable Rights; 4. There
is a Fixed Moral Law; 5. The Consent of
the Governed; Pray for good government
that safeguards these five tenets or the
people to Alter, Abolish, or Create a new
Government.
23 - ID: Pray for District Captain Doug
Rich who is recovering from a fall and
will be in physical therapy for a long
time.

they would make the COS Resolution a
priority and bring it up for a vote this
session. We have the votes to pass.
We've already passed the House.
25 - MA: Pray for discernment in the
hearts of all volunteers who have
stepped forward to help deliver the COS
message to state legislators during
upcoming hearings and that the practice
sessions shall be cloaked in the full
Armor of God.
26 - ID: Pray for new State Content
Writer Donna Shove’s son in law and
firefighter, Scott Brown, who has a
broken collarbone. Pray for Scott and his
family of seven kids. This injury and the
fires are really affecting them.

they serve the 5.4 million grassroots
supporters. Pray for them to always
share a message of hope and to
maintain the stamina needed to
persevere.
28 - KY: Pray for a new State Director as
the previous one stepped down last
month. Also prayers to encourage folks
in leadership to see the value in the
Servant Leadership course. Finally, ask
the Lord that the KY legislators and
citizens see the light in the importance of
COS.
29 - IL: Pray that the patriots who are
called to volunteer in our team will show
up. Pray for favor as we sit down with
legislators of all stripes to succinctly
present our message about our
resolution HJR3.
30 - TX: Please pray for the coming
together of the Texas Leadership Summit
October 13, 14, 15, that all the planning
continues to go well, all the resources
are provided for the planners and the
participants, content is excellent, and
that the Holy Spirit moves through the
hearts and minds of the participants to
be equipped leaders and beacons of
liberty light to their communities when
they return home.
