Prayer Team Guide - February 2023
Scripture of the Month - Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all
you do, and he will show you which path to take.
The Power of Prayer
Acts 12:5-17
“Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the
church…”
This scripture continues with Peter being freed from prison by an angel. The church was praying for
Peter “constantly”, but it doesn’t say specifically how they prayed. They were united in prayer for
Peter because of their love for him. Are your prayers “me” minded or “we” minded? The real
journey of prayer is in finding what God wants us to pray.
Prayer is finding the heart of God and His will. When we pray with the desire to seek God’s will, we
learn what God wants, and when His will is prayed, our prayers are answered. He told us to pray for
each other. He is what is on the other side of prayer.
