Legislative Activity

Feeling tired lately?  Look at this and you will see why!  COS has over 70 bills over the 50 states with our Resolution, 34 ready activity and F3 Legislation as the subject.  We are at 233 sponsors and co-sponsors now! Great work teams!!   

New Hampshire: Passed the House committee 10-7 and is headed to a floor        vote
Idaho: Passed the House Judiciary, Rules & Administration Committee and is        headed to the floor for a vote
Kansas: Passed Senate with a super majority, heading to the House floor soon - please pray our litigation is resolved positively as this may be needed!  
Iowa: Passed the COS resolution out of the House Committee. Also (first state in the country) removed gender identity from their Civil Rights Code
Rhode Island: Held House Committee hearing, no vote yet. 
Hawaii: Has filed our COS Resolution
South Carolina: Passed their 34 Ready legislation by a vote of 76-29 
 
Let's all support each other as we grow and mold ourselves to the challenge at hand! 

So much going on it is difficult to capture it all - stay tuned to your state Zulip channels for all the legislative activity! 

Thank you to those states who are helping with our Sister State program - whether you succeed in the result you are looking for, you always impact decisions for the future.  State Directors, please reinforce on your team how important these letters are to the overall outcome!    

District Captain and Volunteer activity is something that we really need to focus on, those activity reports are available to communicate to our donors all the great work each of you are doing out there in the trenches!  It only takes a second to file an activity report on your phone or computer.  And for those District Captains reading this, we need to strive for 100% activity in Citizen Builder - again, those numbers are used to let people know all we are really doing!  Let's show them with getting those activity reports in, Follow-ups worked, and Volunteer Activists signed up. The teams will be better for it and it will more accurately reflect what you do to make this organization great!  PS - Our Donors love to see those numbers!  

We have a National TelePatriot Mission going on  right now for Idaho!  Please reach out to your teams and get them on it!

We are transitioning from cosaction.com to cosaction.us email addresses. Everything will be the same except it will be .us instead of .com! This does not require any action on your part.  Your old .com address will forward to the new address, but if you purchase business cards or any other material with your email address on it, please use the new cosaction.us. 

If you have been experiencing issues with Mail Chimp and emails, Tech Support has created a patch to keep it working. You should be good to send your email blasts now.  

VistaPrint is in the progress of correcting how our materials present (currently sideways) which is making them difficult to read.  We will let  you know when this has been resolved.  

When referencing promotional stats, please confirm you are using accurate numbers.  We have 2.68+ million petitions.  We have 32,800+ volunteers. We are moving away from the ‘5+ million supporters’ number.  Let's all make sure we are using this information as cited!

Leaders Launchpad is open for applications.  If you are not familiar with this program, it is a state version of the Emerging Leaders!  We need your young people to join us and learn what we are all about.  Have to build the leaders for our future!

 We still need your star team members videos from your state as we revamp COSU to make it more current, and timely.  Nothing better than Grassroots teaching Grassroots!!  Send us your videos even if you aren't sure we can use them, we will use them for one format or another!

Attention all you Android users - a Droid version of the COS Action Mobile app is being rebuilt and in development!  We know how much you need it!! Hopefully once available will reduce the headaches that our Android users experience!

As with Slack, our Zulip users are few but mighty!  We would like to see a more robust participation with this new format. Please State Directors and SIA's reach out to your teams and help them get going - the issues seem to be largely surrounding getting signed on initially.    Using the Zulip App is much easier than trying to work in a browser.  Help your teams use the platform in the most effective way, have them download the app here:   Zulip App .

We still need your prayers for Texas as they work with the Texas Public Policy Foundation to drive passing of the new resolution that will effectively end the Sunset Clause.  (HJR98 is the bill).The Senate has added a companion bill SJR 98.  If you see a TelePatriot Mission for them or are asked to send an email, please participate!  We CANNOT afford to lose this state!
