Seven Texas volunteers had an opportunity to share the COS message at the Pachyderm National Convention in Galveston this past weekend. The meetings were held at the Hilton Galveston Island Resort, attended by members of Pachyderm clubs from around the country.
Since the goal of the National Federation of Pachyderm Clubs is to encourage citizen participation in the political realm, the team felt that the COS message fell on fertile ground.
Henry Bohnert, Regional Captain from Brazoria, gave a presentation about the Convention of States plan to limit the time, money, and power of the federal government, followed by questions from the audience. Other volunteers worked a table where they interacted with attendees and encouraged petition signatures.
A familiar face at the convention was Col. Allen West, a long-time COS supporter and endorser. During his featured lunchtime talk, he publicly praised the COS effort, adding his voice to the other volunteers.
