Election Day is only six weeks away. Now is the time to register to vote or to verify your voter registration status. Registering to vote or checking your registration is easy. Simply visit the Oregon Secretary of State’s page.
To register to vote, visit:
https://sos.oregon.gov/voting/pages/registration.aspx?lang=en
Click on “Register to Vote Now” and provide your name, driver’s license number, birthdate, address, and a few other details. The registration deadline is Tuesday, October 18.

Enter your first name, last name, and birthdate, then click “Submit.” It will display your current registration status, your party affiliation, and your address.
If you have moved, you should update your address so that your ballot isn’t sent to your old address. Your party affiliation is irrelevant for the general election, but if you wish to vote for candidates in a primary election, you should select a party affiliation to vote in that party’s primary. You can update any of your registration details by clicking the, “Update Registration,” button.
Sneak a peek at your ballot
Do you want to see which candidates, ballot initiatives, bonds, and local option levies will appear on your ballot before it’s mailed to you? Click on the, “Mark My Ballot,” link after checking your registration. It will list all the items that will appear on your ballot.
Support Convention of States and participate in citizen self-government
The election is your chance to vote for Oregon state Senator or Representative candidates who will support the Convention of States Resolution. The election also allows you to vote on local property taxes and statewide ballot measures.
