District Captains Norm Launi and Kelly Kelley held their regular monthly team meeting of HD 54, 56 and 57 on Monday, Mar. 21 in Keyser. Meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance and prayer.
In attendance to address the 26 members were WV State Director Tracey Friend, State Legislative Liaison Jay Taylor and former State Director Barb Thomas. The main issue for the night was to celebrate West Virginia becoming the 18th state to pass the Convention of States resolution.
Tracey thanked the team for their work in this effort and Jay and Barb told the audience about all the issues that they faced in the last 9 years getting it passed.
This team is now looking to keep spreading the COS message and help other states join the elite list of passed states.
After meeting closed, the group celebrated by enjoying food brought in by the team members and cake and drinks bought by the team captains.
