If America ever had any doubts that Washington is broken, the Iran Nuclear Deal should remove forever those doubts.

Our Founding Fathers required in the Constitution that all significant agreements with foreign governments be submitted to Congress as Treaties requiring two-thirds approval by the Senate. The Iran Nuclear Deal represents one the of most significant U.S. foreign policy shifts in years, as it will give Iran $150 billion Cash plus access to the nuclear bomb - and ballistic missiles to deliver the bomb to the U.S. - while they chant “Death to America”.  Knowing that he could never get two-thirds approval in the Senate, President Obama attempted to by-pass the Constitution by instead calling the Deal an “Executive Agreement” so it could be ratified by the U.N. Security Council rather than by Congress.  Obama took sides against the representatives of the American people. The Senate weakly responded by agreeing to water down its approval rights to only a one-third approval if Obama would let Congress review the full Nuclear Agreement, including any “side agreements”.

Today we see that only by chance did Congress learn that there are two side agreements that allows Iran to inspect its own nuclear site at Parchin - - that Congress  will not be allowed to see these side agreements - - and that 42 Senate Democrats filibustered so that the Senate could not even vote on the Nuclear Deal. Obama has again ignored the law and blatantly attempted to sneak something by Congress and the American people, and 42 Democrats helped him hide it.  So much for checks and balances ! Then, after green-lighting uranium enrichment in Iran, Obama shockingly announced on September 11th that he was unilaterally closing the last American uranium enrichment facility in the U.S.  This shutting down of America's production of uranium is a dangerous threat to our national security.

Washington has become a broken system of government and cannot fix itself. “We The People” can no longer trust Washington and will have to fix this problem. Our Founding Fathers, fearing this day would come, have already provided such a fix in the Constitution. Article V provides a way for the People, acting thru their State legislatures, to amend the Constitution to restore its original checks and balances for a limited federal government. Today there is a grassroots movement in all 50 states to call for an Article V Convention of the States to amend the Constitution. If you would like to learn more about the Convention of States (“COS”) efforts to fundamentally reclaim America go to www.conventionofstates.com.

Ignoring the Constitution has consequences - - Article V is that consequence.
