Now is the time to act for those dedicated patriots whose desire it is to return our nation to free and fair elections. Texans who want to vote in confidence and show that the Lone Star State still stands for freedom and self-governance had best be in Austin on April 1st.

Beto O’Rourke and his gun-grabbing followers will be there en masse to make sure it doesn’t happen.

Thursday, April 1, the House of Representatives Elections Committee will resume hearings on the Texas Election Integrity Bill, HB 6. You can view the draft legislation here. The Capitol Building opens at 7 AM. Hearings begin at 8 AM. Maps and directions to the Capitol are here. Hearings will be conducted in the Main Committee Room (E2.028).

COS Texas needs to be present in large numbers to help bolster the courage of patriotic committee member and to dishearten those who seek to rob Texans of their votes. Benjamin Franklin is reported to have said, “You have your republic, if you can keep it.”

Brent Dunklau HD33, who was present for last week’s hearing says, “You now have your republic, if you can make the drive to Austin.” Those who oppose election integrity are not at home on the couch watching basketball. They are in Austin and making their presence felt.

Among the many dedicated COS TX volunteers present at the Capitol last week were John van Compernolle and Shelby Williams. Caleb Pillado, his wife and their four children met with newly elected representatives Jacey Jetton and Gary Gates. A whole family working to preserve our representative republic for the next generations.

Now it is your turn to make a difference - and it won’t even cost your life, your fortune, or your sacred honor. It just requires doing the right thing and be in Austin on April 1st.
