Like many Americans, Convention of States Wisconsin volunteer Doug Dorn wasn't always interested in politics. The father, husband, and veteran had more important things to think about.

But as he learned more about how the system in Washington operates, the less he liked what he saw.

“People say positive, bold statements to get elected, but once they get into Washington, nothing happens. Those promises go out the window,” he told a Wisconsin legislative committee.

“I see representation in Washington for somebody… but it's not me. I see representation for a select, higher echelon people, but not the regular taxpayer like me. It's taxation without representation.”

If you don't feel represented in Washington, there is hope! As Doug explains, a Convention of States can bring power closer to home and ensure that We the People have a real voice in politics.
