For the 2nd year in a row, on December 2nd, Convention of States Hawaii (COSHI) volunteer activist Chanara Richmond of Ewa Beach, entered her beautifully handcrafted COS wreath in Honolulu’s 2024 Holiday Wreath Contest.
This year’s theme was “Christmas for the Keiki” and featured three categories: Children (keiki), Adult, and Themed. The COSHI wreath was entered in the adult category. Judging will take place over the next few days and winners will be announced for each category on December 6. The wreaths will be on display at Lane Gallery of Honolulu Hale from Dec. 7, 2024 to Jan. 2, 2025.
Chanara’s wreath was the largest size allowed in the contest and as the detailed inset shows, it featured the Convention of States name and organization logo centered in the hanging ornament.

Contest staff members found a great place to display the COSHI wreath as Chanara added finishing touches.
The wreath is equipped with small LED lights that turn on from 10:30am to 2:30pm daily. Hawaii residents and visitors can view the wreath display weekdays from 9am to 5pm through the month of December in the Honolulu City Hall at 530 South King Street.
