Touch the American Flag

This brings up your link to the backend of the Convention of States website and we refer to this area as ‘Citizen Builder (C.B).’ It is where you will find pertinent information which is not available to the public and where you will update information relating to your responsibilities.

What is a Dashboard?

A dashboard allows you to have a readily updatable view of important information. In C.B. we use the term in several different places:

  1. Dashboard just below the flag is where you will find the following information:
  1. National Scoring (shows only your state’s information)
  2. CB Activity (volunteers activity within your state)
  3. Leaderboards (nationwide totals and yours)
  4. Growth Stats (shows petition signatures and volunteers, including those with volunteers with no role assigned.)

<HTML><ol start=“2” style=“list-style-type: decimal;”></HTML> <HTML><li></HTML><HTML><p></HTML>District Dashboard is an overview of the supporters’ profiles to which you have access. This is found under the ‘Tools’ section of C.B. Within this dashboard you can choose to open a profile (anything underlined and in blue is a link) or you can filter some types of information.<HTML></p></HTML><HTML></li></HTML><HTML></ol></HTML>

  1. The light gray area is where you can type your filter choice or choose from the drop-down menu, as available.
  2. To the left of your avatar is a poorly-outlined field double click in this field after typing a name, it will open the People section of C.B.)
  3. If you need to export this information into a spreadsheet type format, right click on a blank area of the page, choose SELECT ALL, COPY and PASTE into an already opened file. All headers will transfer as well, including your avatar and the flag at the bottom of the file. (Hint: to remove the avatar and/or flag, open a new spreadsheet or document, CUT same, PASTE and then close the recipient file without saving it.)

<HTML><ol start=“3” style=“list-style-type: decimal;”></HTML> <HTML><li></HTML><HTML><p></HTML>Each supporter also has an individual District Dashboard which is an overview of their information only. You are able to insert comments or contact logs within their DD or within their profile. Below their avatar is a link to their profile and in the upper right-hand corner above their avatar is the letters ‘DD.’ Opening the profile itself this location changes to ‘Profile.’ Any other changes besides comments or contact logs are made within the profile area.<HTML></p></HTML><HTML></li></HTML><HTML></ol></HTML>

The Rest of C.B.

  1. Messages
  1. Inbox – this is for National to send you information only and there is not ability to reply.
  2. Notifications – (available depending upon access granted) your ability to post notifications that your district/region will see when they login.
  3. Text Blasts – (available depending upon access granted) your ability to text people in your district/region who have opted-in to receive texts.
  4. Email Blasts – (available depending upon access granted) your ability to email people in your district/region who have opted-in to receive emails.

<HTML><ol start=“2” style=“list-style-type: decimal;”></HTML> <HTML><li></HTML><HTML><p></HTML>People<HTML></p></HTML><HTML></li></HTML><HTML></ol></HTML>

  1. Users – this area lists all supporters who are available to you and can include people who are not shown on your District Dashboard because they are within your senate district but are outside of your house district.
  2. Tags – these must be created by someone who has been granted authority but are available to help you track your volunteers, etc. Create a Help Desk Ticket to request a tag.)
  3. Lists – can be either static (information saved at a given point in time) or dynamic (information changes with all informational updates.)
  1. Static – helps with tracking projects involving contacts. Lists have a ‘REMOVE’ feature which can used to keep track of completed actions.
  2. Dynamic – helps with tracking information which should be updated, i.e. new volunteers will be added to a list.

<HTML><ol start=“3” style=“list-style-type: decimal;”></HTML> <HTML><li></HTML><HTML><p></HTML>Filters – used when you need to save specific information relating to a group of supporters, i.e., veterans, people who live in a certain city.<HTML></p></HTML><HTML></li></HTML> <HTML><li></HTML><HTML><p></HTML>Duplicates – the system lists people whose details close match another profile based on a defined algorithm. If you find duplicates within your information, create a Help Desk Ticket and report the profile numbers on same and the State Information Analysts (SIA) will research.<HTML></p></HTML><HTML></li></HTML><HTML></ol></HTML>
