The Plan
Let's Connect!
The Convention of States grassroots
army supports a national effort to
call a convention under Article V of
the United States Constitution,
restricted to proposing amendments
that will impose fiscal restraints on
the federal government, limit its
power and jurisdiction, and impose
term limits on its officials and
members of Congress.
Advocating for Government
Close to the People
“The Congress, whenever two thirds of
both Houses shall deem it necessary,
shall propose Amendments to this
Constitution, or, on the Application of
the Legislatures of two thirds of the
several States, shall call a Convention
for proposing A which in
either Case, shall be valid to all Intents
and Purposes, as Part of this
Constitution, when ratified by the
Legislatures of three fourths of the
several States, or by Conventions in
three fourths thereof, as the one or the
other Mode of Ratification may be
proposed by the Congress.”

Who Decides?
Whom do you want to make
decisions for you? At Convention of
States, we advocate for self-
governance. That means policies
that govern our everyday lives are
made at the state and local levels,
where ordinary people can have
more influence. You Decide.
Democracy in Action
Over half of the required 34
states have already passed an
Article V Convention of States
resolution.
Over 2.4 million signatures are
on the Article V Convention
petition in all 50 states.

Why Call for a
Convention of
States?
Real solutions to
real problems
Here's why
Truly Nonpartisan
No “social policy” decisions. Period.
The Convention of States will ONLY
propose amendments that:
1. Impose fiscal restraints on the
Federal Government
2. Set term limits for elected and
appointed officials
3. Limit the power and jurisdiction of
the Federal Government
Runaway Convention?
State legislatures - not special
interest groups - control the
delegations
3/4 of the states (38 states)
must ratify any proposed
amendments
The Convention will only
propose amendments on limited
topics.
If you are still concerned, be
involved in the conversation. More
perspectives provide an excellent
check during the convention.
By limiting federal taxing and
spending, we can shift more of the
fiscal decisions to the states.
Legislators will be able to serve their
constituents more effectively.
