The following is a note from Convention of States volunteer Vicky Adams of the Tidewater area.
Soon Virginia will be taking a vote on whether or not Virginia should participate in an Article V Convention of States.
As a fellow constituent, I have arranged for us to have a sit-down with Delegate Emily Brewer.
I am personally inviting you to my home for a quick pre-meeting, meet-and-greet promptly at 9:00am with donuts, coffee, and hello's before our meeting with Delegate Brewer.
We'll head to her office just before 10:00am. Her office is located at 319 Main St., Suite 108, Smithfield, VA 23430.

Our mission is to briefly meet with Delegate Emily Brewer to explain why we favor the participation of the Commonwealth of Virginia in this unique and historic action.
Our job is not to be a constitutional experts. Our meeting with Delegate Brewer is to present our concerns backed with written, factual anecdotes that she can present to her colleagues to make this COS a reality.
I will give her COS paperwork and fact sheets, but it is the personal, written stories of her constituents that Delegate Brewer can share that will make the most impact.
Every citizen has a voice but too seldom are we heard.
Action must be taken to reform over 200 years of entrenched Washington bureaucracy and corrupt professional politicians whose only concern is personal enrichment, enabled by a lack of accountability and term limits.
