What do Convention of States and HEAV have in common?
First, Convention of States Virginia will be hosting an information table at HEAV (Home Educators Association of Virginia) from Thursday, June 7, through Saturday, June 9, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
Second, Convention of States was founded by Michael Farris, renowned for advocating for homeschool freedom. He was founding president of the Home School Legal Defense Association in 1983, and continues to serve as chairman of the board of HSLDA.
One of the maxims Farris recalls from his father is, “Don't ever tell people there is a problem until you give them a path for the solution.”
Farris has devoted his life to championing our freedoms, from religious beliefs to the right to homeschool. Bundled along with all that, comes our God-given rights that the Framers sought to protect.
Article V of the Constitution allows We the People to petition their state legislators to call a Convention of States for the purpose of proposing amendments to rein in a rogue federal government.
Be sure to stop by the Convention of States table to learn more. Meanwhile this popular video will wet your appetite!
If you will be at the homeschool convention and would like to volunteer some time, we'd love to have you join us! Working together we can and will preserve our Constitution.
