What is a Convention of States?
The Convention of States Action is a grassroots movement aimed at limiting the power and jurisdiction of the federal government through an Article V Amending Convention. It seeks to use Article V of the U.S. Constitution to propose amendments that address fiscal responsibility, term limits for federal officials, and reducing federal overreach. The organization advocates for State legislatures to call for a convention where delegates can propose and ratify these amendments. |
Tennessee is a Passed State!
The Tennessee Legislature passed the Convention of States Resolution calling for an Article V Convention of States on February 4, 2016. Tennessee was the fifth state to pass the resolution. |
