Defining a District, a Captain and a COS District Captain

Missouri has 163 lower house districts with an average of 37,000 people in each district. Some districts are bigger than others and each district has its own unique challenges and needs. A captain, by definition, is the commander of a unit and is tasked with leading the unit towards a certain goal or destination. A Convention of States District Captain is responsible for reaching, teaching and activating both his or her district members and that district's representatives in Jefferson City. Sounds like a daunting task, doesn't it? it is, but we believe there are American patriots who are up to the task in every corner of Missouri.

What do you have to do to be an effective District Captain? Just reach one person in your district, teach them how to reach out to others and then give your team member the power to activate others. You can have as many patriots on your team as you want. Are you ready to change your corner of Missouri? Learn More About Being a District Captain

Not quite your cup of tea? Please visit our Take Action Page and check out our other volunteering opportunities. We are on our way to building the largest and most engaged army of citizen activists in the history of mankind. We could sure use your help.
