Thank you for stepping up to help represent the Convention of States in Jefferson City. We have made a commitment to support our legislators and communication is the key to maintaining a working relationship.
As a legislative liaison you will help our grassroots by doing the following:
- Learn how to navigate the State House and State Senate websites.
- Teach them how to discover who their state lawmakers are based on which district they reside.
- Inform them of the bills their legislators are sponsoring.
- Provide information about when and why lawmakers meet and how we as citizens can participate in the process.
- Assist in conducting a survey of both incumbent and new candidates on their position and view in regard to the Article V Process.
- Arrange a townhall “homecoming” for legislators in your area after the session has ended. (you will be assisted by our events coordination team)
- Most importantly, help those in our grassroots army understand their power of influence through petition and expressing their will to the legislative body.
