What is the current culture of the FBI? Much can be said but many people are afraid to speak. What follows are four relatively current stories plus background on electronic voting machines.
2016: September: Rice University Professor Dan S. Wallach testified before the House Committee on Space, Science & Technology at a hearing titled, “Protecting the 2016 Elections from Cyber and Voting Machine Attacks.” Here are two takeaways:
1. Our biggest vulnerabilities are our voter registration databases. Combine the patience and resourcefulness of a nation state adversary with the unacceptably poor state of security engineering in our voting systems, and especially if we consider the possibility of insider threats, then yes, it’s entirely reasonable to consider attacks against our voting systems to be within the feasible scope of our adversaries’ capabilities. If our paperless electronic voting systems were attacked, we’d be unlikely to see evidence of it in the voting machines or tally systems.
2. While it’s attractive to imagine the convenience of online voting, the Internet also makes it much easier for nation state adversaries to attack our elections.
2017: The FBI admitted it had files from a computer belonging to Seth Rich. But here’s the salient question, did the FBI use its own cyber professionals to access Rich’s computer or did they use a third party? Why spend taxpayer money on a third party and risk a security breach?
2018: Systematic fraud occurred at Department of Justice regarding the Carter Page FISA warrant.
2020: October: FBI withheld Hunter Biden’s laptop information from the public knowing it would look bad for Joe.
COS co-founder, Mark Meckler saw credibility issues with the FBI back in August of 2022 and called for its dismantling.
Rank and file in, and retired from, the FBI want to “stop the FBI from being the enforcer of a political party’s ideology.”
The resourceful FBI has sophisticated cyber capabilities. They know all about network gaps that are supposed to be secure. How far will they go to get results ordered up by a political party?
You have power. Here are three things you can do to help with election integrity: vote in person, work at a precinct convenient for you, and keep your eyes on the FBI.
We need state representatives and senators who will pass the Convention of States resolution.
To anyone unfamiliar with the culture of Convention of States - we believe in empowering people to take action, learn from their mistakes, and adjust their actions accordingly for the future. Learn more about our core values.
The mission for the Convention of States Project is to “Build an engaged army of self-governing grassroots activists.”
We are growing a grassroots army large enough to not only call the first-ever Convention of States, but to also drive the political and cultural narrative across all 50 states. Join us by signing the petition.
