There are a number of volunteer activities that can contribute to our mission as a passed state to “Build an engaged army of self-governing grassroots activists”.\r\r
This document will help you to conduct one of those activities namely “Calling in to talk radio programs” to keep the Convention of States Project in the forefront of peoples thoughts”. \r

Calling in to radio programs or joining programs that may be streaming live on the Internet is an excellent method to get the Convention of States message out to a larger audience. By aligning with select subjects or rising in opposition to other subjects you can help concerned citizens become aware of our Action group and you may even inspire some to join with us. The Appendix lists two of the conservative talk stations in the Phoenix metro area and the programs time slots. If you are not able to hear these stations search for comparable stations in your area

Call in to Talk Radio Shows
Volunteer Activity Plan
Fellow Patriot,
You have chosen to volunteer in a cause to restore our Federal government to what the framers
of our Constitution intended using Article V of that constitution, a protection provided by the
framers to check a government that has moved beyond its limited and enumerated powers. You
can play a most important part in this effort as a volunteer to help us get the job done.
There are a number of volunteer activities that can contribute to our mission as a passed state to
“Build an engaged army of self-governing grassroots activists”.
This document will help you to conduct one of those activities namely “Calling in to talk radio
programs“ to keep the Convention of States Project in the forefront of peoples thoughts”.
Calling in to radio programs or joining programs that may be streaming live on the Internet is an
excellent method to get the Convention of States message out to a larger audience. By aligning
with select subjects or rising in opposition to other subjects you can help concerned citizens
become aware of our Action group and you may even inspire some to join with us. The
Appendix lists two of the conservative talk stations in the Phoenix metro area and the programs
time slots. If you are not able to hear these stations search for comparable stations in your area.
Please remember to always be courteous when speaking on behalf of The Convention of States
and show respect for the opinions of others. We do not support Political Parties or Candidates
because of our tax exempt status as a 501C4 organization. To be most effective, call in when the
host is talking about a topic that relates to issues that the Convention of States seeks to address
such as overreach of the Federal government, career politicians, and runaway spending.
Being well informed about the Convention of States mission and how an Article V convention
would work will be very helpful in communicating with a talk show host. A wealth of
information can be found by reading the information on the Convention of States Resource page.
In addition there are a number of online video training courses at COS University. Two that are
highly recommended are VOL 100 Introduction to Volunteering and COS 400 Leadership and
Activism.
After you have successfully done a call in, please take the next step which is to let someone in
the Arizona Convention of States leadership know that you have done so and how it went. For
one thing, you will get a pat on the back for taking the initiative and it can be helpful in knowing
how receptive various talk show hosts are to our efforts.
If there is a District Captain in your legislative district and you have their contact information
please call or email them and tell them about your experience. You should have received that
information in the email you received after you signed our petition and indicated you wanted to
volunteer. If you don't have that information go to the Convention of States website then scroll

will display the contact information for the State Director. Call or email that person and tell
them about what you did.
