While most of America has been distracted by world events, congressional drama, and fall festivities, the dedicated volunteers for Convention of States Pennsylvania have kept their focus on building the grassroots all across the state. Whether it was Freedom pods, Gun shows petition drives, or T-shirt giveaways, the month of October proved to be a fruitful harvest for the COS PA mission.
Eagle Arms Gun Show
The Southeast PA COS team continues to lead the way in grassroots activism by attending the Eagle Arms Gun Show in Oaks, PA October 20-22. This well-attended 3-day event brings in gun owners from all over the surrounding area and has continued to prove a COS petition goldmine. Southeast PA volunteers spent their weekend talking with freedom-loving citizens interested in defending themselves. For these self-defense seekers, the dedicated Southeast PA team offered a different type of protection in the form of an Article V Convention of States.
Del-Chesco Freedom Pod Launch
Southeast PA launched a new Freedom Pod in Delaware & Chester County Pennsylvania (Del-Chesco) at the New Liberty Baptist Church in Aston, PA on October 18. Their first meeting was a huge success and generating signed petitions and volunteer interest from the attendees, especially New Liberty Church’s Pastor! The Pod will continue to meet on the 3rd Wednesday of every month 7-8:30 PM. Contact Rosemary Shearer for more information.
Bellefonte Freedom Pod
Another exciting Freedom Pod was launched in the Bellefonte, PA area last month. Earlier this fall, Senator Cris Dush, the primary sponsor of SR77, spoke at a Town Hall Event held in the same location as the new Freedom Pod. COS volunteers are looking to use the exciting momentum from that event to build a strong team in the area. While attendance for the subsequent pod meeting was small, there are promising signs of growth and energy for building COS engagement in the community. The Bellefonte Freedom Pod will continue to meet once a month with the next meeting scheduled for November 25th, 10 AM at the Watermarke Church in Bellefonte. Contact Tim McDevitt for further details.
Dr. Malone mRNA Technology Event
On Friday, October 20th, renowned mRNA expert Dr. Robert Malone hosted an event in Pittsburgh discussing concerns with emerging mRNA technology and fifth-generation warfare. Western PA COS was represented at the event by sponsoring an informational booth. In addition to garnering petitions and providing promotional information to the attendees, COS Regional Captain Chet Jack facilitated a COS T-shirt giveaway. COS’s presence was felt among the rapidly growing medical freedom and free speech movements.
