Welcome to Volunteer Activist training with the Convention of States Wisconsin Team!

1. Convention of States University (3 hours)

These four video courses take three hours (total) to complete and will give you a great foundation in all things COS. To access these courses login to COS University using the same email and password you made for this website. (If you don't remember your password you can reset it.) 

• COS 100 Introduction to Convention of States (44 minutes)
• COS 200 Responding to Opposition (27 minutes)
• VOL 100 Introduction to Volunteering (57 minutes)
• GOV 100 Constitutional Literacy (45 minutes) 

2. Your District Numbers, State Representative and State Senator

Before you go any further you will need to discover your Representative, Senator, House District (HD), and Senate District (SD). Use the instructions below to find your legislators and district numbers, and save that information somewhere that you will be able to refer to easily. If you already know all four of these things go ahead and move on to step 3.

3. Making Action Reports (7 minutes)

Learning how to make an action report is extremely valuable because it allows you to easily report what you find out. Watch this video to learn how to quickly submit an action report from this website. Use the PDF for a quick refresher.

4. Learning the Acronyms & Setting up your Technology

• Convention of States uses a lot of Acronyms. Use this Acronym Guide to find the meanings when you run into new ones.
