We have an opportunity for you to answer the call to duty and serve your country again. You can build and lead a team of Veterans by serving as a Veterans Coalition Director (VCD). In this role you will support our mission to grow the grassroots to influence legislators for passing the Convention of states resolution, securing the resolution in states where it has passed, and taking action on other legislation defending freedom and our Constitution.

Veterans are probably the most influential citizens over our state legislators. Most legislators acknowledge, appreciate, and honor the men and women who put their lives on the line for freedom, who risk all, to serve a higher purpose than themselves. Therefore, we thank you for stepping up to be a Veterans Coalitions leader for Convention of States.

After answering and submitting the survey questions at the bottom of this page, a COS leader in your state will contact you to discuss which of the two Veterans Coalition leader opportunities is right for you. Consider reviewing the Convention of States University courses before or after submitting your survey.

This is an opportunity for you to answer the call to duty and serve your country again. As a VCD, you will recruit Veterans to be VCD Team members in your district or region of the state. You will work together with your VCD Team members to help recruit, welcome, and educate other US Military Veterans about Convention of States and Article V, and be proactive in raising grassroots support from members in Veterans service organizations in your state.

Your efforts will support our mission to grow the grassroots to influence legislators for passing the Convention of states resolution or securing the resolution in states where it has passed. You will be serving as a team with men and women who took an oath to protect and defend our Constitution and our nation. An oath that never expires.

Guidance and training will be provided to you by your State Director, State VCD (SVCD), or other state leaders. You will not perform this mission alone!

• The VCD is to be able to work closely with the State Veterans Coalition Director (SVCD) in planning and executing strategy.
• The VCD must be a team player who supports the COS mission with a focus on efforts related to Veterans.
• VCDs should have a basic understanding of the Article V project and be able to talk with other Veterans about Article V of U.S. Constitution and our mission. Consider reviewing the Convention of States University free self-paced courses after submitting your answers to the survey questions below.
• The VCD will build a relationship with his/her state legislators and help others on the Veterans Coalition team build a relationship with state legislators.

1. The VCD will work in partnership with the SVCD and other state leadership.
2. Participate in the national Veterans Coalition leaders calls and state team calls.
3. Learn how to use the tools provided to build a team of Veterans Coalition Team members and Veterans in your region of your state.
4. Recruit and train other Veterans from within your state.
5. Reach out to Veterans service organizations in your local area or state to build a relationship with them and their members.
6. Report all communications and results of visits to legislators to your state team.

Expected approximate commitment level: 3 +/- hours per week.
