Texting Team & COSGOTV App

What does the Texting Team Do?
The COS Michigan Texting Team uses the COSGOTV App to execute texting missions for the purpose of:

- Recruiting Volunteers.
- Inviting people to Events.
- Informing people how to engage in key COS legislative moments.
- Encouraging people to get out and vote.

What is the COSGOTV App? The COSGOTV (Get Out the Vote) app is an app that allows volunteers to efficiently deliver a mass quantity of P2P (person to person) text messages to the people in the texting mission in a short amount of time.

10 messages can be sent in under 30 seconds.

 Users of the app (referred to as Activists) may be assigned to one or more teams, and teams are assigned to campaigns, which are associated with one or more lists of people to text.

Best Practices / Warning

• Send Texts between 10a.m. & 8p.m.
• Don't send more than 60 messages a minute.
• Don't spend more than 1 hour texting or send more than 1,000 messages per day.
• If you do, your carrier may block you from texting at all.

How to Join the Texting Team (See if you are on the team)

• Allow five business days for your name to be activated in the app. (This process involves multiple people)
• Once you have been added you will be able to use the same email address and password you use with this website to login to the app.
