“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14-22

It's quite likely that there was a lot of pre-election praying on both sides of the aisle. The prayers for healing must continue with appropriate follow-up actions.

Our Founders were, for the most part, God-fearing men not atheists. Like them, we should take into consideration the ultimate consequences of our actions. If we can’t all believe in divine retribution as a consequence, then we must have earthly rules to which we hold each other accountable.

We aspire to be a country of rules, law and order, a constitutional republic. The foresight of our Founders included a system of checks and balances to protect us from our own human weakness. Today, it is our job to ensure the health of that separation of powers. COS volunteers support the sovereign states in keeping the federal government from using mob rule to destroy free speech, due process, and in general our rights to life, liberty, and freedom.

Spiritual Realignment

There is ample evidence that having an overwhelming focus on the rewards of this world, i.e.,  cultural trends, leads to anxiety, confusion, chaos, and unhappiness. Young people need not feel lost and insecure about why they are here. Understanding and believing in an eternal life beyond the one on this earth gives purpose and meaning to our time here. It’s simple, we each strive to be the best person we can be. We use our talents to nourish our souls, not only to enrich our bank accounts.

America was founded as a haven and melting pot; a place to forget the religious, ethnic, and political hatred that exists in so many other places. Why bring that here? Why stoke the flames of division? It’s not immigrants we resent, it’s the disregard for rules that is so offensive. We want law and order.

We also want to be able to “love thy neighbor” because we know kindness is a better path. Sadly, compassion does not come easily. Now our job is to prove that Americans are much more than any of the labels we throw at each other in times of disagreement. We are not always stupid, hateful, racist, misogynists, Nazis, or Marxists. We can be good neighbors, loving family members, and respectful patriots. We are Americans first.

Unfortunately, over the last 50+ years journalists have been taught that their role is to educate and control the uninformed citizenry. They have been indoctrinated to believe that they are the elite arbiters of truth. We should take every opportunity to counter any distortions of American history and values. The recent election is a reminder that there are two sides to every story. The media might have regained some credibility if it had been just a tad more honest and balanced.

Praise the Lord, Pass the Ammunition

What can we do to bring ourselves together, back from the extremes? We can thank Him and then do something to help.
