Some are happy with the outcome of the 2022 election, Having seen their preferred candidates win in critical battles. Others are disappointed that their candidates appear to have been denied victory.\\
\\
What does this mean to our daily lives? How will we be affected by the “representation” of these elected officials?\\
\\
The answer to this question is more important than many may understand. Those that we’ve elected to represent us for the next 2 to 6 years, have power, but we must recognize our responsibility to monitor, and guide their performance. True, constitutional, power is given to the American citizen.\\
\\
Our constitution does not begin with, “We the government,” or “We the Congress,” or “We the Governors,” etc, it begins, “We the people.” The government of our nation is OUR responsibility. Our politicians are the servants of the citizen, answerable to the, “will of the people.”\\
\\
If the USA is to be the nation that our forefathers, and our constitution’s framers meant for it to be, it will be because we the citizens have made it so.\\
\\
There is a website named, “Conservative Review,” which grades our members of congress on their voting records. This review spans a 6 year period, incorporating their votes during, “elections seasons,” and, “non-election season,” votes. It is an important tool for the citizen’s monitoring of whether Congress is submitted to the will of the people.\\
\\
Many politicians are most attentive to their constituents during election seasons, but their voting behavior can be less directed by their constituents throughout the rest of their terms.\\
\\
Conservative Review’s Liberty Score is useful to monitor their actual fidelity to their voters. It is the choice of the people, whether they will monitor these scores, and direct their governance accordingly.\\
\\
Of what use is this Liberty Score if we only complain? There is little benefit. However, if we choose to engage in our government, we can benefit from this asset, and it can help us to restore self government.\\
\\
As an example, my federal representation is as follows, my senators are Bill Cassidy, and John Kennedy. They are both Republicans. Their Liberty Scores at this moment are;\\

John Kennedy C-77%\\
\\
I personally appreciate Senator Kennedy’s boldness, and willingness to say what needs to be said in hearings, yet he votes with Chuck Schumer 23% of the time. I agree with Senator Schumer exactly 0.0% of the time, so Senator Kennedy is not representing conservative principals as often as many Louisianan’s think that he is.\\
\\
In the House of Representatives, Steve Scalise, of District #1 has a Liberty Score of F-58%. He is also member of Republican leadership in the House of Representatives. My representative in District #5 is Julia Letlow. She has a D-68%. That is better than that of Scalise, but does it please my fellow district #5 neighbors that she supports Nancy Pelosi’s position 32% of the time?\\
\\
As you can see, few of these people have opposed much of what the Democrat Party has been doing, to the detriment of our nation over the last 6 years.\\

The highest rated congress person in the state of Louisiana is Clay Higgins, with a B-83%.\\
\\
Anyone can use this utility, (and there are others,) to evaluate the performance of their elected politicians.\\

It is the duty of each citizen to communicate their will to their legislators in Congress. If they don’t, how can they expect their will to prevail? I must admit that I have failed in this responsibility, and so have many of my friends. \\
\\
Redistricting has moved my address from House District #1, to #5 in recent years. I didn’t even know it until I began looking at my “ballot” in, “Geaux Vote,” while preparing for the 2022 election. 

I, and many other Louisianans have believed Steve Scalise to be representing us well in Congress. We had no idea how often he compromises conservative principals. He votes against the policies of the most destructive marxist members of Congress only F-58% of the time. 42% of the time he supports the destructive policies of Nancy Pelosi. Is that good enough for you? Do you feel that you are being well represented by your leadership in the House of Representatives?\\
\\
Most Republicans in Louisiana are now aware of how badly Senator Cassidy has represented his average Republican constituent in Louisiana, after his blatant anti-Trump pronouncements of recent years, and abysmal voting tendencies.\\
\\
Senator Kennedy, on the other hand, has been vocal in support of many common sense actions, and his firm defense of conservatism, however, is C-77% really all that conservative? \\
\\
Our legislators, state and federal, are being constantly lobbied by powerful, and talented lobbyists, in favor of special interests. There is no one to lobby for the average citizen. That is our job. If we don’t do it, it will likely not be done. We will have left our representatives ill prepared to perform the job we have elected them to do.\\
\\
If you are unaware of who represents you in these capacities, please find out, and become active in directing their representation according to the wishes of your community.\\
\\
Freedom of religion, freedom of speech, the right to assemble, and the right to petition our government are under severe threat. Our right to self defense is also under constant assault.\\
\\
Please become more active in the preservation of your rights, the rights of your state, and that of our nation.\\
\\
If the United States of America is to be restored, it will not come from a political, “savior.” It will not be because someone else has come to our defense. It will be because everyday Christians, and Americans will have risen up to defend, and restore this once great nation. That is why Donald Trump’s, “Make America Great Again,” slogan was so well accepted. That is why long parades were spontaneously gathered in support of President Trump. It was not Donald Trump that attracted many of his supporters, it was his message. Likewise, it is not just Trump that academia, media, and Democrats hate, it is, “We the People,” who want to restore the greatness of the nation that we have inherited.\\
\\
Many Americans want to restore America, in other words, return her to the great principals upon which she was founded, or, “Make America Great Again!”\\
\\
