For the umpteenth time, I watched “Braveheart” today (Mel Gibson’s movie about William Wallace’s historic fight to secure Scotland’s freedom from English tyranny). I’m  fascinated by Wallace’s tenacity in fighting unto death for what he believed in. After meeting a grisly demise at the hands of the English, Scotland ultimately won its freedom.

Watching this time, however, I was struck by the similarities between Wallace’s fight and what we are witnessing in our beloved country today. America is literally experiencing “a death by a thousand cuts.”\\

Never heard of it? It is an ancient Chinese torture tactic known as “lingchi” — which translates loosely to “slow slicing,” “lingering death,” or “death by a thousand cuts” — and was used as a method of execution from the seventh century up until 1905. Now, if this doesn’t sound like America today, being slit one slice at a time, I don’t know what does.  \\

In my previous life, I analyzed global threats for an international oil and gas company.  The common thread between terrorists and countries trying to overtake another country were always the same: seize the source of power, seize the source of money (usually natural resources), seize the source of food, then housing and water.

This morning, as I was filling my gas tank, I realized that the federal government is following the same pattern against the American public. The administration has stopped oil production, depleted strategic oil reserve by over one-third, threatened our national security through open borders, blocked supply chains, and taxed and seized personal property.\\

For decades we have witnessed a slow decline in our society through ultra-liberal ideologies, lack of transparency/accountability, and government overreach. Often labeled for the "common good," administration policies put in place are stripping the American public from their God-given rights.  While a decline in Americans’ lives have occurred most of my adult life, the most rapid decline to America has occurred since 2021 (economy, rising costs at the pump, rising costs of food and goods, national debt skyrocketing, benefits dwindling, higher taxes, not to mention the cancel culture we are forced to live under). \\

Oh, and did I mention other problems we’re facing? Schools are out-of-control with curriculums that threaten parental rights, cities are deteriorating, crime is increasing, law enforcement defunded, and homelessness skyrocketing. Our God-given right to worship is called into question with the government dictating where we can meet and what can be said. Being pro-life, don't get me started on what I think of liberal laws threatening the womb to the tomb.\\

America can no longer rely on "just voting in enough conservative candidates." That method hasn’t worked in generations, so why should we expect any difference? We are heading for a cliff, my friends. If we continue doing the same thing over and over again, then we are doomed to failure.  

That’s the very definition of insanity – doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.\\

If it sounds like I’m mad, then you’re right on target. Every red-blooded patriot should be hopping mad, too. NOW… TODAY… stand up and say NO MORE.
