For the first time, Convention of States volunteers had a table at the [[https://wilberforceweekend.org/|Wilberforce Weekend]] in Arlington, Virginia, an annual event put on by the [[http://colsoncenter.org/|Colson Center for Christian Worldview]]. The weekend culminates in a banquet and ceremony presenting an award to a public figure who, like British abolitionist William Wilberforce, have impact humanity for the greater good through their faith and influence.

The COS team consisted of Regional Captain Susan Peters from Virginia and Texas State Communication Coordinator Sharon Correll. Sharon has been involved with training through the Colson Center and was excited about creating synergy between the two organizations.

The COS message found fertile soil among the attendees. There was great consensus among them around both the dysfunction of government and the value of our constitutional system, and relatively little of the fear-induced mindset that is often found among those who claim to value the Constitution.

One of the goals of participation in this event was to promote COS among potential candidates for the newly-forming [[https://conventionofstates.com/faith-coalition|COS Faith Coalition]]. The team also connected with several Christian leaders who are interested in providing statements of support or publicizing COS in the media.
