The war we fight together as Americans is an untraditional one. The wars of America’s past have been fought on more violent ground, using the instruments of traditional warfare.

Not this time. At this point, many of America’s most passionate and freedom-loving individuals have banded together under American colors to fight a battle for liberty. \\

America has fought for external goals and purposes, always to achieve some open and distinctly visible end. However, the battle we as Convention of States volunteers and leaders are fighting is what Levin referred to as a “battle from within.”

What is so distinctly important about the war we fight is that it is so much more than a voice. In reality, what Convention of States claims to be is not merely a movement.

It is a mindset, it is motivation, and most importantly it is a purpose. It is a purpose towards greater things, a greater future, a conquering and a reclaiming of ground.

As Levin said, we are all together, “leading a historic movement to preserve the most magnificent country on the face of the earth.” We have to preserve the greatness we have left and rebuild the greatness that so many D.C. politicians have tried to devalue.

At the Constitutional Courage Banquet at this year’s Convention of States Summit, Mark Levin encouraged the Convention to remember something drastically important. It is not enough to vote political leaders into office that we think support our ambitions and goals as American people. It is a step forward, true, but it is only a step.

There is an entire path to walk towards achieving our dreams for the future America, and it begins when we commit to the vision. As Levin noted, the detriments in America that we must address are the conglomeration of many years of downfall.\\

We have no knowledge of how long it will take to rebuild. That is not important. What is important is that we are the determiners of how we get it done. We are the building blocks of a better America.

Remember Mark Levin’s words: “We’re not witnesses to history here. We //are// history.” Remember that you are now creating the history for your children and grandchildren to one day read. More importantly than that, we are working towards bettering the nation that they will one day inherit.
