Jim signed the petition in 2018 after listening to Dr. Tom Coburn talk about Convention of States (COS). He joined COS, because he was tired and frustrated at the direction of our great country. He felt it would make a difference.\\ \\ Jim started as a Follow-Up Team Member and became a District Captain of District 5 (still is) after meeting the New Jersey team at a Trenton Day. In August 2020 he became a Regional Captain and joined the State Director team. Jim’s vision for the South Region is to have fully engaged District Captains in each of our eight districts working with their legislators to not only pass the resolution but to ratify any proposed amendments.\\ \\ Traveling through the United States is one of Jim’s favorite pastimes. He loves the vastness and stark beauty of this great country. Jim’s bucket list is to visit all 50 states and as many National Parks as he can. He has visited most of the 48 contiguous states and many of our National Parks. \\ \\ He took a three-week trip a few years ago driving over 8,300 miles and visiting 15 National Parks. Highlights of this trip included visiting Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Mesa Verde, Black Hills, Yosemite, and Redwood National and State Forest. \\ \\ Jim is retiring next April and plans to continue his travels while still supporting Convention of States. \\ \\ It is hard to find anyone more knowledgeable about COS, U.S. history, and the Constitution. He supports his volunteers with his knowledge, passion and by attending most events in his region. Jim is patient and tenacious in the quest for liberty. He is a true patriot and a valuable member of the New Jersey COS team. #|LEADER_POSITION_FORM{leader_position:district_captain}|#
