They started out stating somewhere around two million people would die from COVID-19 here in the United States. Naturally that  scared the you-know-what out of folks.\\

Then they shifted it down to 100,000-200,000. Well, that’s better, but still somewhat disturbing.\\
\\
Now it’s down to 61,000 people that could pass from COVID-19, which is about the same number who die from a bad year during our bouts of the flu.\\
\\
They really have no true idea on how many people actually have or have had COVID-19. So did they overreact in the country’s shutdown, or should it have more a more structured or staggered adjustment?\\
\\
Thus far, about 98% of people recover fully from the infection. The concerns are people with certain pre-existing health issues: those with diabetes, obesity, heart conditions, hypertension, etc.\\
\\
Should those in the danger area been the ones placed under restrictions, and the rest been told to use special precautions such as face masks and social distancing?\\
\\
I have no idea, but it’s food for thought.\\
\\
Our entire economy has been shut down. Basically, we are wards of the state, and they are paying people not to work. Agencies are deciding which businesses and individuals are essential or non-essential.\\
\\
Our rights and freedoms are being challenged. Maybe it’s time for a little common sense defiance.
