I was asked the other day "Why is it important to continue the fight in Texas, after ratification of the Convention of States bill?"

Its simple. The battle in Texas is won, but the war is not. We must win this battle in 19 more states. Some states are close to final passage, while some are not even considering it.  

Even though I reside in Texas, I have reached out to other state representatives to encourage them to support federal term limits and balanced budgets. I have found them very receptive because they also realize how badly our federal government is broken.  

If all of us send emails, make phone calls, sign petitions, show up at protests, write letters to the editor, write letters to government officials, volunteer, donate money, and don't do business with companies or individuals that trash our leaders, institutions, or beliefs, we can make this happen.  

The opposition is motivated, well-funded, and organized. They are willing to assault us, throw us out of restaurants, insult us, slander us, deprive us of our rights, and crush us. They never give up. We must not give up, either.  

While we should not lower ourselves to their criminal behavior, we must equal them in courage, diligence, fierceness, and willingness to defend our rights, liberties, and comrades in arms. We have the Constitution, logic, and right on our side. If we stand up to these cowards, they will eventually back off.  

I encourage everyone to find a way to fight back that meets your talents, interests, and abilities. If we don't fight now, while the war is waged with words, petitions, votes, and the courts then our children and  grandchildren will one day be required to wage battles with violence, guns, and bloodshed. None of us want that day to come so we must rise up and stop these radicals now.
