You must be wondering—What in the world is a "TelePatriot"?

A TelePatriot is a volunteer who directly helps build the Convention of States grassroots army of engaged activists using the telephone. Telepatriots communicate with supporters to encourage them to become involved in Convention of States (COS)  events by volunteering, contacting legislators, or simply attending COS sponsored events. \\

As a TelePatriot you can help build the strength of the grassroots army easily and conveniently!  TelePatriots use an app on their smart phones to quickly connect with other supporters and volunteers. This method of communicating one-on-one with supporters gets them engaged quickly to accomplish the current mission whether that is calling legislators to pass the resolution or other supporters to attend an event. Unlike email which is easily missed or ignored, a phone call conveys immediately the urgency of the needed action.\\

How do I become a TelePatriot?

  - Please begin by signing the COS petition! It will only take a few minutes and will make a great impact. You can do that [[https://conventionofstates.com/|here]].
  - Apply to be a Volunteer Activist [[https://conventionofstates.com/volunteer_application|here]]. When accepted, you will be given your own unique profile with COS where you can find a variety of resources including COS informative videos, short guides to Article V, COS University, and so much more!
  - Your next step would be to download the COSAction app through the Apple App Store (iPhone) or the Play Store (Android). This is where you will be doing most of the TelePatriot networking. 
  - Training, including the use of the COSAction app on your phone will begin after these steps are completed and you are assigned the role of “TelePatriot” by one of your state leaders.

Fulfilling The Role of a TelePatriot

TelePatriots are tasked with fulfilling Missions, which are campaigns to call groups of people to relay an important COS message. Missions are given out by your state leaders, and they include lists of supporters’ phone numbers to call (and text!) along with a pre-made script to be followed by the TelePatriot. More details on what it means to be a TelePatriot will be included in the COS TelePatriot training course!\\

Depending on your availability which you indicate on your volunteer application, you will be contacted by your state’s COS leadership to participate in a mission. We understand that you might not always be able to participate, and there is no need to worry! Any help you are willing and able to give will be very valuable and crucial to building the engaged, activated, and strong COS grassroots army.\\
