It is on that date that amendments to the existing International Health Regulations and the Pandemic Treaty will be voted on by UN members.  The Biden Administration is poised to sign on to these documents, bypassing Senate approval by calling them agreements or accords, rather than treaties. What will be the result of passage of these two documents?  Their passage will be legally binding in international law to all 194 nations, including the US.  The WHO would be given authority to require medical examinations; require proof of vaccination; place people under public health observation; and implement quarantine, isolation, or contact tracing.  Each nation would be obligated to prevent ‘misinformation’ or ‘disinformation’ dealing with any directives from the WHO. The Director-General of the WHO could declare a wide range of emergencies in addition to health emergencies.  These could include climate change, abortion, immigration, transgenderism, and gun control.  After declaring any of these as international emergencies, he could dictate the steps that the nations must follow to deal with these ‘crises.’ If one doubts the ability of the WHO to carry out their plans, all one needs to do is to look at what they were able to accomplish with COVID when they only had advisory capability - social distancing; mask mandates; mandatory vaccinations, isolation, and countless preventable deaths if safe and proven treatments had been allowed. What can you do to protect our national and/or state sovereignty from falling under the dictates of the WHO? Remind our Senators in Washington that no matter whether one calls these documents by any other name, they are in fact treaties.. Our Founding Fathers went to great lengths to make sure the United States did not get entangled in treaties that would be harmful to our nation.  Should these documents be passed, they must go through the Senate approval process. Encourage the House to defund the World Health Organization.. Look for a call-to-action from COS when **SB 133** goes to committee and then to the full House and contact your state representative asking him or her to support this very important bill which would protect Louisiana citizens from the influence of the WHO.  Educate yourself about the dangers that face us should these treaties be passed and spread the word to others, encouraging them to take action. As former Congresswoman, Michelle Bachman, has said of these treaties, “We could lose our sovereignty, lose our right to travel, lose our right to control what goes into our bodies or alternative treatments if it passes in May.  This is as big as it gets, and we need to take this extremely seriously.”
