However, there are those, especially in Washington, that oppose returning to such a blessed status. They would rather have the country destroyed through Church-lessness, family-lessness, unconstitutionality, open borders, perversion, and other forms of godlessness which we witness occurring day by day as we buy our food, fuel our vehicles, go to libraries, drive the highways and streets, and in just about every other facet of our culture. What description fits such people who prefer death, chaos, and ruin instead of peace, prosperity, and protection except the word evil? “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12) Such wickedness is manifested in our world, so our conflict is not ultimately with democrats, liberals, or leftists, but it is a conflict of good versus evil. Since we have for years been in decline as a nation at an ever-increasing rate, it is obvious that for good to triumph over evil, we must change our strategy. Jeff Landry has the platform, the responsibility, and the authority to say no to the federal government’s evil, leftist policies, and to say yes to Louisiana policies that can be a catalyst that steers the state and the country back on course to our former status. Cutting the federal government apron strings is key to reducing federal power over the states. When federal [[https://eagleforum.org/publications/insights/rehab-for-the-federal-money-addiction.html|handouts]] are received by the states, the federal government has grounds to include those [[https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/jan/13/mississippi-child-school-food-program-welfare-state|handouts]] in its “budget” (as if Washington has a budget). This Article provides a means to limit the power of the federal government to what is declared in the Constitution, and the means for states to exercise the power reserved to the states and to the People. For America to survive, the central government must be pushed back into its proper role.  Otherwise, the country will be brought down through self-inflicted wounds such as unsecured borders, which will be examined next.
