Before taking on the role of Regional Director she served as the State Director and Legislative Liaison of Michigan. She signed the petition in 2014 and has been an active volunteer since. Catherine is a retired public high school teacher and a mother of three sons and two granddaughters. She has a passion for history and believes in the vision the framers of America put forth when they met in Philadelphia in 1787.\\ \\ Catherine’s volunteer experience includes serving as a member of the Commission on Aging in Saginaw County, Chair of the Saginaw County Republican Party and being a member of the Delta College Transitional Advisory Council. Catherine has a BA in Secondary Education and a Masters in the Art of Teaching. She currently lives in Northern Michigan. The Convention of States has given her the opportunity to continue her passion for educating others about American exceptionalism and sharing the belief that all of us need to understand how political activism is vital to self-governance. {{https://content.conventionofstates.com/cosaction-prod/public/content/images/94791/94791_original.png?|Bill Scott}} ==== Bill Scott, COS Ohio State Director ==== As a former CFO at several insurance-related companies and a former Big 5 audit partner, I retired from a paycheck, but not from life! I signed the COS petition in 2016 while living in Minnesota, but did not get active in leadership until early 2018 upon moving to Ohio. Mark Levin and his book, “The Liberty Amendments” served as the catalyst for my joining COS. After serving as an Ohio Legislative Liaison and Regional Captain for several years, I was asked to become Ohio’s State Director in 2021.\\ \\ With a background in finance, I feel strongest about the need for amendments addressing the “fiscal restraints” plank in our 3 pillars. The concentration of power in Washington, DC allows a select group of politicians to deficit spend constantly and rewards friends/donors with taxpayer dollars while avoiding financial accountability by not having balanced budgets for over 2 decades. The culture of that broken system results in our kicking the can down the road with Continuing Resolutions and multi-thousand-page Omnibus bills that hide waste and pork. This must stop! While Mark Levin may have been my inspiration to join COS, fighting for the future well-being and freedoms of my children and grandkids is what sustains me. {{https://content.conventionofstates.com/cosaction-prod/public/content/images/94792/94792_original.png?|Amy Frederick}} ==== Amy Frederick, Assistant Ohio State Director ==== Amy Frederick is a retired Registered Nurse who has been involved in COS since 2016 in various positions including District Captain, Regional Captain, Grassroots Coordinator and, most recently, Assistant State Director. She was first attracted to COS by Mark Levin and out of concern for the Federal Government’s reckless spending. Amy graduated from McPherson College and Wichita State University with Bachelor’s Degrees in Biology and Nursing, and the University of Kansas with a Master’s Degree in Nursing. She has two adult daughters and three grandchildren. {{https://content.conventionofstates.com/cosaction-prod/public/content/images/94793/94793_original.png?|Diana Telles}} ==== Diana Telles, State Communications Coordinator ==== Diana Telles is a committed volunteer with Convention of States Ohio, having served as in several positions with the organization the last five years. Hailing from West Chester Township, a northern suburb of Cincinnati, she serves as State Communications Coordinator for COS Ohio. Diana came to COS qualified for the Comms team having worked in marketing, sales, and communications prior to home schooling her four children. Across many years she has served in a variety of leadership roles in her local community, church, and school associations.\\ \\ A proud American who is highly motivated to effect real change in our country, Diana strives to balance family life, part-time work, and her commitment to invoking Article V of the US Constitution. The hard work, professionalism, and patriotism of her fellow COS volunteers further inspires Diana. With regard for her commitment to triggering a state amending convention under the authority of Article V, Diana often states, “If there were something more effective I could do for my country, I would be doing it!” {{https://content.conventionofstates.com/cosaction-prod/public/content/images/94794/94794_original.png?|Susan}} ==== Susan Dunn, State Block Walk Captain ==== Susan Dunn, Ohio State Block Walk Captian, is originally from Berea, Ohio. She lived for 28 years in mid-Michigan and is now in West Chester, Ohio. A graduate of Denison University, her career included clinical laboratory testing, sales and research. She's married, has 2 sons, 4 grandchildren, 4 stepsons and 6 step grandchildren. She was introduced to COS in February of 2021 by a man who braved the cold and come to her door with a COS pamphlet. Still upset over the 2020 election results, it was immediately clear that COS was the best way for her to channel her anger into positive energy to help get America straightened out for the sake of her family and all citizens.
