No Attached File: Town_Requirements_Guide.pdf Created: 2021-11-01 14:29:36 Updated: 2022-11-01 23:00:00 Published: 2021-11-01 03:00:00 Converted: 2025-04-14T20:03:05.092094439 ---- {{:cb_mirror_public:media:files_13628_pdfto001.png?nolink&918x1188 |background image}} 211029 \\       Town requirements    \\ This document will guide you through the process of learning what is required as well as the path \\ to gathering signed petitions for a Warrant Article applying for a special election in your town  \\  \\ There are two methods to submit a Warrant Article: request it either be added to the annual town \\ election, or you can apply for a Special Election at any time.  Different milestones must be met, as well \\ as timing considerations for registered voters.   For each Town/City:   Annual Town Election -  \\ >Requires the lesser of at least 25 signed registered voter petitions or 2% by registered voters \\ regardless of the population of the town or city   Special Election request -  \\ >If town has fewer than 10,000 “inhabitants”: lesser of at least 50 registered voter signed petitions or  at least 25% signed by Registered Voters  \\ >If town has more than 10,000 “inhabitants”: petitions signed by at least 5% by registered voters (10,000 \\ would require 500+ petition signatures)   Let’s gather our patriots and secure our voting process in our towns AND our \\ State.
