**What is a Lame Duck Session?\\

Consequently, Lame-Duck sessions occur in Michigan at least every other year.\\

**Why Does it Matter?\\

However, if the November election results mean that the party currently in power will lose power in January, the lame-duck session can be a very chaotic scramble by the party about to lose power to quickly pass all the legislation on their agenda before the end of the calendar year. //\\
