If someone asks if they can make a donation to COSA, you can direct them to the donation page on the COS website\\ (conventionofstates.com/donate).  Please do not accept checks or cash from people. 5. Don’t put anything in mailboxes (or take anything out).  It’s a federal crime to put material in a mailbox that is not properly addressed mail. 6. Respect “No Trespassing” signs and the like.  Be on the lookout for pets.\\ 7. Only walk during reasonable hours.  Don’t knock on doors before 8am and avoid being out after sunset. 8. Don’t go into someone’s house, even if you are invited.\\ 9. Always be aware of your surroundings.  Stay in well-lit, visible areas and remain close to other team members.  Err on the side of caution.
