Therefore, the Convention of States Wyoming team is holding town halls around the state, this time in Kemmerer.\\ \\ **When:** Sunday, November 15, 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.\\ \\ **Where:** Caribou Cafe, 1012 Pine Ave, Kemmerer\\ \\ Join this community conversation about the COS initiative, so that you can be more informed about the goals of our movement and the Article V process.\\ \\ You are invited to engage with volunteer representatives of COS. They will be in attendance as advocates for the following limited number of proposed themes for amendments to the U.S. Constitution utilizing the Article V process: * Impose Term Limits on Federal Officials * Impose Fiscal Restraints on the Federal Government * Reduce the Power & Jurisdiction of the Federal Government The absolute dysfunction of the federal government is demonstrated daily in Washington, D.C. Congress will never make the hard decisions to keep from bankrupting our children and our grandchildren. Federal officials will not voluntarily give up the power they have accumulated or end the corruption of the political elite in Washington, D.C. \\ \\ Therefore, it's our responsibility for We the People to take back our government and return power to the states as originally intended by the Framers of the Constitution.\\ \\ In 2020 we need to add Wyoming to the growing national momentum for a Convention of States. In just the past few years, 15 of the required 34 states have--by resolution of their state legislatures--agreed to participate in an Article V convention.\\ \\ All are welcome to our town halls, so please invite family, friends, and neighbors. We look forward to seeing you there for a lively, respectful community conversation. Beverage service will be available.\\ Please feel free to contact Marlene Brady with any questions by emailing marlene.brady@cosaction.com or calling (307) 871-4583‬.
