A couple days later Nebraska became the 17th state to apply for a Convention of States. That’s two states in 1 week! Now that Wisconsin has applied for the Convention of the States, what’s next? This victory allows COS volunteers to move to a new stage of action. COS National has not yet disclosed how our strategy will change, however, I am pretty sure it will have a Self-Governance theme, reflecting the name of the COS parent company....Citizens For Self-Governance. Local and State government over reach is a large problem and needs to be dealt with! The topic I will be covering in this letter will help get us started to address these issues. Prior to Wisconsin passing, and after hearing many people wonder why they had not heard of COS, I introduced the “715 Project”, a plan to build grass roots groups not only in our Assembly districts, but\\ in the communities within each Assembly district. True grassroots! People connecting, in their own communities with people they know and trust. To accomplish this, we need to:\\ 1. Recognize the dire straits we are in and learn the truth about what is happening to America.\\ 2. Realize the American people must become change agents.\\ 3. Demand and keep demanding every government institution abide by the Constitution or be forcefully deposed by lawful means.\\ 4. Realize it is our God given rights as Americans to enjoy the freedoms and liberties our Founding fathers envisioned, but this will not happen if Americans refuse to do the heavy lifting of sustained civic engagement.\\ \\ Most agree with these points in principle, but do not know where to start”. We start by creating networks of people who meet physically, communicate regularly, and develop action plans that specifically address the things we know to be true right now in America, including those things listed\\ above, and then determine how, when, and where to do them. COS in Wisconsin is the way to get it done! Here is a plan to help us get there: “715 Project” is: 7 communities per district, with a minimum of 15 volunteers per community. The 715 Project solves this problem using the “Action Team” approach. It gives small teams, of 2 or 3 people, a task to be responsible for. Volunteers pick what they want to do based on their interests. Together the teams make more progress than one or two people trying to do everything, plus it’s more fun working together. Action Team tasks depend on what the group is trying to achieve. Some examples are:\\ 1.) Contact Team: Calls or emails COS petition signers, in their area, to invite them to informational meetings. No cold calling, they have signed the petition so you know they are interested.\\ 2.) Meet-n-Greet Team: Plans meetings for people the Contact Team invited.\\ 3.) Event Team: Locates and schedules events to have a COS promotional booth or table, to promote COS and their group. Typical events are; Gun shows, Fairs and Parades. They also plan community picnics, workshops, training, etc.\\ 4.) Setup Team: Does the physical work of setting up the booth, table, banner stand, etc. at the events that the Event Team set up and scheduled.\\ 5.) Print Team: Locates local newspapers and shopper guides to find free or special rate advertising in the Community Events section.\\ 6.) Other teams: Radio Ad Team, Promotions Team, Photography/Video Team, Social Media Team, etc. One of the first Meetings I held, to promote the 715 Project, was in Rhinelander on January 15th of this year. After educating everyone on the Convention of States, I went over the details of the 715 Project. I asked for a show of hands, of those wanting to be involved in the Rhinelander group. All 15 attendees in the room raised their hand! The response was amazing. These were serious patriots that wanted to make a difference in their community! I handed out a list of 11 different Action Teams to\\ pick from. Most volunteers chose several teams they wanted to work on!\\ These teams, working together, will get things done! As this group grows awareness of COS within their community, they will have the support and the numbers to start tackling the State and local\\ issues that need attention. As I mentioned earlier, creating networks of people who meet physically, communicate regularly, and develop action plans together, is the only way Americans can stop the tyranny that is overcoming our country. **Are you tired of talking and ready to roll?** Read on!\\ The group will be meeting again February 19th to begin organizing. The meeting will be in the basement of the First United Methodist Church at 724 Arbutus St. in Rhinelander, starting at 10:00am. Anyone interested in learning about this project is invited to attend the meeting. If you can’t make the meeting but are interested in starting a COS community group in your area, contact me by calling or texting: 715-966-6386, or email: john.antross@cosaction.com. I receive a lot of correspondence every day. If I do not return your message in a day or two, please contact me again in case I have overlooked your inquiry. Thank you,\\ God Bless America.\\ John\\ \\ 2-10-22
