His writings covered diverse science topics including physics, biology, zoology, meteorology, and geology. But they also included metaphysics, rhetoric, psychology, linguistics, politics, government, and very importantly –  logic. \\ \\ Aristotle codified the rules of truth by logic and thus would not have said, “I am science.” He knew that anyone could have demonstrated that these words were false. He was further aware that the knowledge of science is separate from the observer or reporter of that knowledge. He understood that the universe is not the way it is simply because of what an observer wants, needs, or fears.  \\ \\ How about Newton? He invented the reflecting telescope; he proposed new theories of light, optics, and color. He devised calculus and developed the three laws of motion. He used his newly created mathematics to explain the laws of universal gravitation and universal heating and cooling. He further advanced early modern chemistry. And yet, Sir Isaac Newton has been quoted as saying, **“If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”** He knew he was not all science.  \\ \\ How about Galileo, Descartes, Tesla, Edison, Hubble, Darwin, Curie, Euler, Carson, Einstein, Tyson, Watson, or Crick? Could they have said these words and meant them? All of these scientists and all other scientists understood, or now understand, that there were plenty of others who contributed to the sum of human knowledge. All these people likewise understood that any authority is only related to //reality// and that the science arrived at by explaining that reality is always arrived at only by way of //reason//. It is //never// arrived at by fiat.\\ \\ Whoever has uttered the words, “I am the science,” has failed to grow up. One such person is mentally stuck in the terrible twos or the terrible teens. During these two pivotal periods of life, success means understanding that one is not the center of the universe, that one does not have the end-all authority in anything. Failure to mature correctly past these two phases means that one will live the life of a narcissist and this narcissism will be endlessly inflicted upon others.\\ \\ Anyone saying these words is in essence suggesting: //do not believe anything I say going forward (and maybe all that I have said in the past). I am a narcissist and have no authority, but I am using my position to pretend I do. I will not treat you as an equal will lie to you to get my way. I am a common schoolyard bully and you, therefore, need to protect yourself from me.//\\ \\ You need a mask. You do not need a mask. Have sex with a stranger. Stay away from each other. Lock-down will last two weeks. Lock-downs and masks will be with us forever. These are paraphrases, but they are the essence of what Mr. Fauci told us. He also told us, “I am science” which means, “Everything I say you must believe.” And the left supported him.
