We just want to advise them that they have another, possibly more important right--the right to take back the reins of power from Washington run amok and put them back in the hands of the states and the people. **Washington is Broken** Article V of the U.S. Constitution was included for just such a task. When Washington is so broken, a Convention of States is the solution as big as the problem. COS volunteers were ready with the energy to share knowledge with others that would help them regain their power. It was obvious their tables weren't those of gun or ammo vendors. Brochures with information about our objectives were displayed and handed to anyone curious about us. Attendees were given an Article V Pocket Guide and a pocket version of the U.S. Constitution. Volunteers explained our goals and allayed any concerns expressed. The QR code on certain items took them to videos about us, or they were shown how to find our website and sign our petition. On occasion, an attendee would volunteer on the spot or shortly thereafter. === Had Me at Term Limits === Asked what drew him to the table and motivated him to volunteer, Clay responded, "I was walking around with my friend, just looking at stuff. I saw this table in the corner with some people giving out things. We went over to check it out. "I asked this fella what Convention of States was," Clay continued, "and he showed me something that said 'term limits.' He explained about Article V of the Constitution and the three things they were trying to get done, but he had me at 'term limits.' I went over and signed the petition, and my friend signed, too." These men just talked and found common ground. Volunteers connected with the crowds for two days and came away rich with between 80 and 90 signed petitions, plus eight new volunteers. It's a treasure trove of new friends, to be sure. **Another Way** While the future of our nation is in question, these easy venues to meet and educate fellow Americans may go the way of the dinosaurs. What better time than now, when crowds may inundate these shows? It's a time to let people know that there is another way--a constitutional way. The Article V way. #|LEADER_POSITION_FORM{leader_position:volunteer_activist}|#
